Who is Lord Jesus Christ?
Luke 1:35
35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.
In the above passage we see that the angel Gabriel sent by God spoke to virgin Mary that the baby boy she is going to conceive is the Holy One and will be called the Son of God. Indeed Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God. God the creator of heavens and earth is addressed as the Holy One of Israel. That is His title. 57 times Holy One is mentioned in the Bible. In the Gospel of Luke 1:35, Jesus is the Holy One who is to be born and will be called the Son of God. The title “Holy One of God” means that Jesus is infinitely and absolutely holy, fully and perfectly divine. He is transcendent and majestic. He came down from above to save sinners, yet He is set apart from sinners in that He is completely sinless, without any moral blemish, perfect in all of His ways. Jesus and God the Father are One. In John 10:30, Jesus declares that He and the Father are one.
Jesus Christ the Messiah came into this world to save us from our sins. He died on our behalf and was buried. On the third day He rose from the dead conquering the death and after 40 days, Jesus ascended into heaven. Now He is seated by the right hand of the Power interceding on our behalf. During this season of Joy, let us fall on our feet and worship this King of kings and the Lord of lords just as the shepherds worshipped the new born King.
In Jesus precious name! Amen.
Maranatha!
