Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ?

Revelation 22:13

¹³ “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.“

Why should anyone know the Lord Jesus Christ? Before answering that question, one needs to know who is Jesus Christ. In the above verse from the book of Revelation Jesus Himself declares that He is the Alpha and the Omega. The Alpha is the first alphabet in the Greek language and the Omega is the last alphabet in the Greek language. The New Testament was written in Koine Greek language originally. Jesus is not a created being that He has a beginning and an end. He is the eternal God that existed before the Heavens and earth were made by Him and Him alone. Man cannot comprehend how this is possible because when God made man He did not impart everything to man. Although man’s quest is never ending but there is only so much that man can understand.

There are certain laws of the earth and then there are laws of heaven of which man does not have the ability to grasp. This is the reason man need to seek God for who He is. Scientists are unable to figure out everything that God created. Many times science is baffled by God’s creation. Jesus came to this world 2000 years ago for the sole reason to save us from our sins. The Bible declares that for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and therefore deserve to die. The Holiness of God prevents Him to accept us as sinners. So, the only way for man is to be cleansed by the blood of Jesus and then enter into the presence of God by accepting the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. It is like a child who went outside to play in the mud and came home, but the mother will not let the child enter into the house without first changing the clothes and then showering the child and cleaning every dirty area on the body and then give new clothes to wear. This is how any person when they first come in contact with Jesus, happens to them. Jesus revives their life. He gives us new life also called the eternal life. Because until we encounter Jesus Christ personally, everyone of us has trespassed God’s commandments and therefore deserve to die. Without Jesus one has no life and no form spiritually. Jesus is the only way one can be restored to sanity. Until we allow Jesus Christ to come into our lives, there is no one to guide us in our daily walk in this world. We are the offspring of His generosity, that is because of His Mercy and His Grace we have been brought from darkness into His marvelous light.
