Honor God

1 Samuel 2:30

But now the Lord says: ‘Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.

Anyone who mistreats the Lord’s people, the Lord will judge them. But anyone who disrespects God and His commandments, God’s wrath will be on them. God expects everyone that He created to know Him personally. But if one desires to ignore this truth intentionally then the wrath of God is on them.

In the above verse, the Lord is saying, them that honor God, God will honor them. Why is this so important? It is very important for every human being to know His creator. That determines where he is going to spend the rest of his eternity. For those who are totally strangers in knowing this truth, begin by reading the Word of God called the Bible. This is where you will find the history of creation. You will find how Abraham was called by God from the Ur of Chaldea and traveled to the land of Canaan. Bible is not a book of fables or tales from the crypt. It is the true Word of God. It is the only Book that has recorded the Words of God. No other book on this earth comes close to this Book.

Once you start reading the scriptures then the Holy Spirit will begin to work in you to bring about a change in your life. Once who were far off in an unknown land will be brought forth into the promised land. Then you will begin to honor God and the end result is that God will honor you by spiritually blessing you with His grace.
