Jesus the True Shepherd
John 10:14
14 I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own.
The qualities of a good shepherd is that he takes care of his sheep. He makes sure that the sheep are taken to the green pastures, where they can find their food. The good shepherd allows his sheep to rest next to quiet waters. The good shepherd ensures that his sheep are protected from the wild animals. The good shepherd uses his staff to chase away the unwanted animals attacking his sheep. He keeps a constant vigil on his sheep.
The end result of the sheep is that since they all feed on the same pasture and rest at the same time, they all look alike. There’s no difference between them. Jesus Christ came into this world to become our good shepherd. He chose us before the ends of the world were created. He knows us by our name. God appointed Jesus to be our savior. Since all of the believers feed on the same Word of God, there is no difference between each one of us even though believers are from different nations, tribes and tongues. When God sees us through Jesus Christ, we all look alike.
Lord Jesus Christ knows us for who we are, but also we know Him for who He is. Let us thank God for sending His Son Lord Jesus Christ into this world to save us from our sins. Praise Him. Hallelujah!
In Jesus precious name! Amen.
Maranatha!
