Appointment with God

Hebrews 9:27

²⁷ And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,

The Bible explicitly declares that every person born into this world will one day die and after that they will face the judgment. Whether anyone believes this or not does not matter. Because it is God who appoints men to die once. If there is going to be a judgment then who will be the Judge? Acts 10:42 says, that Jesus who is ordained by God will be the Judge of the living and the dead.

Who is the living and who is the dead? There’s a stark difference between these two types of people. The living are those who have repented of their sins and trespasses and have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. No matter what the world philosophies teach or the world religions teach, one has to accept only Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ is the only way, the only truth and the only life.

The dead are those who have never repented of their sins and have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. It is possible for someone to live a long life and still not know who the Lord Jesus Christ is. Many people will brush away this truth and look into ways of enjoying without Jesus in their lives. The end of life approaches swiftly and what a tragedy will it be dying without knowing Jesus! The lifespan of a man is 90 years or 100 years but the life after that is for the eternity either in the presence of the living God Lord Jesus Christ or far away from Jesus in total darkness.

Let us choose this day where we are going to spend our eternity by choosing Jesus, our Life. May our Lord Jesus Christ bless us all!
