The Living Water

John 4:13

¹³ Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again,

At the onset of dawn everyday, every creature that God created that includes humans, wake up in the morning to a fresh start. The first thing that the animals and the birds of the wild do is to go out in search of food and water. After finding the food they return home to feed their families and so on so forth. God programmed every living being to hunger and thirst for food and water. Every human being is composed of 60-75% of water. Nothing on this planet grows without water. Where there is no water there is famine in that area. There are suggestions that the more water we drink the better our bodies will be.

Jesus Christ when He met the Samaritan woman at the well, said that whoever drinks the water (from the well) will become thirsty again. In order for man to survive on this earth, he has to eat food and drink water everyday. This is how the body is sustained. In order for the man to survive spiritually, he needs to feed on the spiritual food that comes from heaven. Jesus came from heaven to earth to give us the spiritual food. He Himself is our spiritual nourishment. For He is the Living Water. Those who receive this Living Water that Jesus gives will never become thirsty again.

Jesus goes on to say to the Samaritan woman that, the water He gives will become a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life in oneself. The fountain of water springing up in a born again believer is an unbelievable phenomena. Not every one can experience this Living Water. One has to ask King Jesus to give them the Living Water. But before that, one has to acknowledge that Jesus is Lord over the entire creation and believe in His sovereignty over everything. There is no shortcut to receive the eternal life. Jesus is the only way.

May we all run to Jesus and seek His forgiveness and receive the Living Water. In Jesus precious name! Amen.
