Jesus is the Messiah
John 4:26
26 Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.”
Many Jewish people ever since Jesus came into this world 2000 years ago, have denied that Jesus was indeed the Messiah. Even today the same trend runs within their community. Here are some of the points that Jewish people argue about:
- Jesus did not fulfill the messianic prophecies.
- Jesus did not embody the personal qualifications of the Messiah.
- Biblical verses “referring” to Jesus are mistranslations.
- Jewish belief is based on national revelation.
The entire New Testament is based on a single revelation from Lord Jesus Christ to us. He said in Matthew 11:15, that he who has ears to hear, let him hear! God has given each one of us to hear and to understand what is heard. Today in this world there are intelligent people who can design cutting edge technologies. The way they achieve these things is by studying hard and doing lot of research and development. One of the learning technique is that when you read out loud, or when someone is speaking out loud, you tend to hear what is being said thereby grasping what is being said. The Bible declares that faith comes by hearing and by hearing the Word of God. When a person reads the Bible out loud, he can understand better. If anyone opens the Bible with a pre-determined mindset of not being able to understand then it is not going to do any good. The Holy Spirit is here to help us understand what is written in the scriptures.
There was no reason for Jesus to proclaim that He is the Messiah to the Samaritan woman if He was not the Anointed One. Christianity would not have existed today if that was the case. Jesus Christ is indeed the Messiah that was prophesied by the prophets centuries ago and announced by angels before His birth. He surely bore our sins and sorrows and sicknesses. By His stripes we are healed and set free. Hallelujah!
Maranatha!
