In the beginning
Genesis 1:1
1 In the beginning God ………
In order for us to understand the divinity of Christ, first we need to get to the first book of the Bible, the first chapter and the first verse. Anyone who is able to get a grasp of this verse will never deny the authority and the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Jesus is Lord for the Bible says so in Luke 2:11 and Romans 10:9. Now let us examine the term beginning. The natural meaning of the word is with reference to time. It’s the point in time or space at which something starts. Moses was given the instructions by God to write the book of Genesis when he met God on Mount Sinai.
The reader needs to understand that for any occasion there’s only one beginning and one end. Each beginning is unique in its own way and each end is unique in its own way. Only God has the authority and sovereignty over His creation. No man can ever take place of God or even come close to the wisdom of God.
When a man is born into this world, he begins his journey of life and at some point his life ends putting a closure of that journey. So, why is beginning so important? It is of utmost importance because the thing that did not exist before now exists. The Universe that was created by God is filled with stars, planets, galaxies and so on. They just don’t exist in space unless someone began the process of creating them and placing them in their respective orbits. The sun for example orbits the center of the Milky Way, bringing with it the planets, asteroids, comets, and other objects in our solar system. Everything in space is timed marvelously by God. The precision of these heavenly bodies is impeccable.
Where did the origin of science began? It began with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Many hardcore scientists undeniably believe in the non-existence of God. If God let’s say did not desire to create the Universe then no one would have existed. The earth still would be void and filled with darkness. There wouldn’t be any kind of vegetation. No countries, nor families, no children, no grand parents would have existed. Take a deep breath and think about it for a second. (Cont’d)
May our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ bless us all!
