In the beginning

Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God ………

Several passages in the Bible describe God giving specific instructions to the people He appointed. For example: Genesis 2:19 says, “Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. This is just one incident or the tip of the iceberg that God delegated the man called Adam. Similarly God appointed Noah to build an ark. God said in Genesis 6:15, “This is how you are to make it: The ark will be 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high.”

In order for God to describe explicitly the dimensions of the ark, God has to understand the science behind it. For such a big ark to float in the high speed winds and stormy weather, the ark has to balance in the choppy waters without toppling for six months. With no rudder and no guidance the ark has to withstand extreme pressure and the weight carrying all the animals that need to be protected including Noah and his seven family members. Recent studies estimate the total number of living and extinct kinds of land animals and flying creatures to be about 1,500. With our “worst-case” scenario approach to calculating the number of animals on the Ark, this would mean that Noah cared for approximately 7,000 animals.

In Exodus 28:3 God spoke to Moses by saying, “So you shall speak to all who are gifted artisans, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments, to consecrate him, that he may minister to Me as priest. God gave men and women the gifts to knit and sew clothing. Even before that, God spoke to Moses and gave Him the instructions on how to build the Tent of Tabernacle in the wilderness. Exodus 25:8, God said to Moses, “And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it. You think there was no science behind it? How about King Solomon building the Temple of God.1 Kings 6:2 describes, the temple that King Solomon built for the Lord. God even gave explicit instructions on where to bring the wood from.

We can go on and on talking about the Sovereignty of God not only in the beginning of the creation but as the world continues to survive day in and day out, the love of God encircles this Universe. That is the reason the animals of the land and the birds of the air and flesh of the sea and humans are able to breath the air that God provides and are able to find food and water to drink.
