1 In the beginning God ………

Genesis 2:9: And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

The Bible declares in Revelation 22:14: Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life. It seems like the two trees that were in the middle of the garden of Eden were easily recognizable by its fruit. You might wonder how to recognize the fruit? In this case God Himself told Adam about the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Since Adam and Eve broke God’s commandments leading to the fall of man, the entire God’s creation is going through birth pains, as it is revealed in Romans 8:22: For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 

The Word of God is clearly explained by the Lord Jesus Himself in Luke 6:43: For a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. In other words, a tree is known by its fruit. Adam found this the hard way by seeking the food from the wrong tree. Since Adam chose the wrong tree fruit, he was cut off from the tree of life. God chose each one of us before the foundation of this earth was laid down to find this tree of life. God was clear in explaining Adam what to choose. Instead Adam deliberately chose the fruit from the knowledge of good and evil intentionally. Therefore because one man’s arrogance the entire humanity has been deprived access to the tree of life. Everyone of us will have to learn the hard way to go to the tree of life. (Cont’d)
