In the beginning
Genesis 1:1
1 In the beginning God ………
Genesis 3:11: And He said, “Who told you that you were naked?
If we closely examine the above verse, we will find out that God never points out that we are sinners. We have to find out by ourselves. See, after Adam and Eve realized that they ate the forbidden fruit their eyes were opened says the scripture. Every time we disobey God, we know it. This applies to only born again believers. The world does not know this and that is the reason they keep on sinning continuously without any break. In the case of Adam, God told him not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Immediately after he ate the fruit, Adam found out that he needed to cover himself from the shame. The preceding chapter declares that both Adam and Eve were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed of each other, mentioned in Genesis 2:25. Up until now they were able to see each other naked. This is what sin does to man and woman. Adam hid his naked body from Eve and so did Eve. Until that point there was no privacy between the two.
When sin entered into the world so did privacy. Man’s secrets began, secret lives began, evil thoughts began. That is the what the Bible says in 2 Kings 17:9: Also the children of Israel secretly did against the Lord their God things that were not right, and they built for themselves high places in all their cities, from watchtower to fortified city. Many times we hear from the news that high ranking men caught in infidelity affairs and embezzlement or corruption cases. The people think that they cannot be caught for their crimes. But soon enough life catches up to them faster than they can think or imagine. Even if they escape the world system, they won’t be able to pass through God’s system.
After Adam and Eve committed sin, death entered into the picture. From that point whether sinner or saint all of us have to go through it. The difference is that the saint saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ will overcome the first death. The second death has no power over them. Today if you have read this truth, and are convinced then give your heart to Lord Jesus Christ and be saved. (Cont’d)
May our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ bless us all!
