In the beginning
Genesis 1:1
1 In the beginning God ………
Genesis 1:10: And God called the dry land Earth,
The Word of God declares that in the beginning God made the heavens and the earth. And in verse 10, God gathered together all the waters to one place thus leaving the earth dry. Many times we see in the news or some documentary about a certain area without water or rain causing the ground to break and become dry. The area that does not experience periodic rain is unfit for any kind of crop or vegetation. That land is called arid or desert or barren. In the desert there is no moisture or humidity causing nothing to grow.
This is exactly what happened when God separated the water all to one place. The dry land of the earth came into existence. God took this earth or the dust and made man out of it. That was not the end of it. But the scripture goes on to say that God breathed into Adam’s nostrils the breath of life and man became a living being. But what was in God’s breath? You might ask. God’s breath has the living water. God Himself proclaimed in several passages that He Himself is the living water. Psalm 36:9 says: For with You is the fountain of life; Jeremiah 2:13: “They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters”. In the New Testament, Jesus said in John 7:38: He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
Did you know that everyone of us created by God when we breathe out, we not only give out carbon dioxide but also water vapor? Our body consists of moisture in our lungs and in our mouth. So, we breathe out the gas form of water which is called water vapor. See until God breathed into Adam’s nostrils the breath of life, Adam did not come into existence. How beautiful is that! The earth is dry until moisture enters its body then you will see bacteria blooming under the layers of the earth. Spiritually speaking this is what happens to each one us. When sin entered the mankind, it separated us from the Living Water. Sin separated us from this Living Water causing us to become dry, arid, like desert and barren. The only way for any man to become productive is to seek the Living Water. Then only we will blossom. There is no other way to bloom. We have to allow Jesus to breathe the breath of Life into our nostrils spiritually speaking. Then only we will come to life. Otherwise we will be dry as the dirt good for nothing. Without Jesus there is no Life. (Cont’d)
May our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ bless us all!
