1 In the beginning God created the heavens …..

Heaven is a place that is much higher than we ever can comprehend. How do we know this? God declares in Isaiah 55:9, “For as the heavens are higher than the earth.” God gives us clues in the scriptures with respect to what is the truth and what is false. It is the reader’s responsibility to grab the truth. By simply reading the Bible, one does not understand the truth. Otherwise the whole world would be on the same page. A famous personality, Gandhi once accepted a devout Christian’s advice and began reading the Bible. The Old Testament bored and parts of it repelled him, but the New Testament, particularly the Sermon on the Mount went straight to his heart but he tried to unify the teaching of the Gita, the ‘Light of Asia’ and the Sermon on the Mount. He simply could not understand the TRUTH that was in the Bible because he did not have the Holy Spirit in him to open his heart. Many people put Gandhi and Jesus in the same class as great people. Even within Christianity the reason for so many denominations is because of lack of understanding of the scriptures. Many interpret the scriptures in their own way which leads to chaos and confusion. This is the reason we need the help of the helper, the Holy Spirit who helps us unravel the secrets that are hidden in the scriptures. For example in Isaiah 66:1, the Lord said, “Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool”. Any person who sits on a chair has to put his feet below and not above. God is making a point that the earth is below the heaven and the people who belong to earth are below Him.

Heaven is not just above the earth that anyone can fly and settle down. Only true born again believers will be allowed to dwell there for eternity. Heaven is a place where God dwells. Elon Musk plans to send a million colonists by the year 2050. Do you think that is possible? I am not sure. But why go to Mars, when there is an easier way to get to Heaven! See, heaven is above all the stars and planets. It is higher than Mars. In order to get to Mars it takes nine months one way and to settle and start a colony perhaps is a daunting task. What people don’t realize is that God intended for humans to populate only on earth and not on any other planet.

God made the heaven so that those who have received the free gift of salvation from our Lord Jesus Christ only will be allowed to enter into heaven to be with Lord Jesus for eternity. For a Christian believer there is nothing more important in this world than planning to go to heaven and to be with Lord God Almighty. A Christian’s life goal on earth is to prioritize his travel plans to heaven. Going to Mars is not easy as people think. For starters you have to be a millionaire or a billionaire. Secondly you have to be healthy and in top shape. Thirdly you have to train and condition your body for a long-time. Fourthly, be prepared to travel for over 9 months in space and so on. Simply put it is not worth it. (Cont’d)
