Genesis 17:4

As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations

God declared to Abraham that he shall be a father of many nations. Today the Jewish population is in over 100 countries. Throughout the years the Jews have been blessed by God. Many top 500 fortune companies are owned and run by Jewish people around the world. Most of the inventions were invented by the scientists of Jewish origin. It is not that they have been obedient to the Word of God all the time but by simply being a part of Abraham’s lineage. All of the blessings continue to happen because of God’s promise to Abraham even though many have forgotten the promise God made to Abraham. What about the gentiles you might ask?

If we read the Gospel of Matthew chapter 1 verse 1: The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham. The New Testament begins with Jesus Christ as the Son of Abraham. Now anyone who is a truly born again believer is a co-heir of Jesus Christ. John 1:12 says that But as many as received Him (Jesus), to them He gave the right to become children of God spiritually, to those who believe in His name. And in Romans 8:17, we are called the joint heirs with Jesus spiritually speaking.

Galatians 3:7-9 says, “Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. Because of our faith in Christ we have become a part of Abraham’s blessing. Thus Abraham has become father of many nations.
