Psalm 34:1

I will bless the Lord at all times;

What does it mean to bless the Lord? We all know that God blesses His children. Anything from God is an underserved gift to us. Because we have not done a thing to God to deserve His blessings. All the work was done by God and His Son Lord Jesus Christ on the cross. Yet out of God’s abundant grace and mercy, He lavishes upon us His blessings. Many men don’t even realize that every time we go to sleep and wake up that it is not because our bodies are in perfect shape. It is because the Lord provides us with sleep and He sustains us while we are still asleep.

Without the love of God, nothing is possible on this planet earth. It would have been formless and remained void as it was before the creation. Without the oxygen and air nothing can survive. No oxygen no humanity. No vegetation. No animals. Many times we take it granted for everything that exists around us. Little do we understand that God is the creator and sustainer of everything that is around us. When a baby comes out of the mother’s womb after growing inside for nine months, that itself is a miracle that doctors will never be able to comprehend and answer. The science has no answer. How a plant grows from a seed into a mighty tree, no scientist can explain that. How’s wind formed? How does seasons change or what makes them change, no one can answer. How are mountains formed or volcanoes formed? Who formed the rivers and the seas and how come rivers merge into the sea? Who designed the boundaries of the seas? Who gave the wisdom to man to invent and develop ideas into things? Why does man get attracted to the opposite sex (female)? Where did the idea of being fruitful and multiply come from? We can go on and on and talk about our Lord’s goodness and His love for the entire humanity.

In return to all of these blessings received from God, man has no choice but to bless the Lord at all times. It is not sometimes or whenever we feel like or during difficulties but we are called to bless the Lord continuously without any break. To bless the Lord means to praise Him at all times. No matter what our circumstances are. Our only hope is in Lord Jesus Christ. If we learn to bless the Lord at all times then our Lord will bless us even more by opening our heart to receive more of His Word through Jesus Christ. Many Christians do not understand this and they lead a life displeasing the Lord.

The world and everything that exists in this world was created by God, the Triune God. May all the glory and honor belong to the Father through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Until next time. In Jesus name. Amen.
