God’s Word of the Day April 24 2023 that you may become blameless

Philippians 2:15

that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world

Apostle Paul in his epistle to the Philippians is exhorting the believers so that they may be blameless and pure children of God, without defect in the midst of a twisted and perverted generation, among whom they must shine like stars in the sky. Does that resemble the times we are living in? Wherever we see, whether it is through the news or the internet media, or social media there is a clear sense of perversion among the people. Apart from the media even the governments are encouraging people to embrace the crookedness and perversion of their unnatural behavior. The societies that we live in are totally compromised and thus are unable to tell the difference between the right hand and the left hand. The Epistle of Saint Paul the Apostle was written in approximately around 62 AD to the Philippians. Even during that time which is about 2000 years ago, things were no different than today. Every century’s generation had its own style of perversion per se.

The children of God were always under some sort of persecution. In the case of Paul, it did not stop him from writing the Epistles to various churches or to travel different places to exhort the believers in those places. Our LORD from time to time has used saints to convey His message. The Greatest Messenger that He sent was our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ into this world. Why did He do that you might wonder? Because of the perversion that began with the fall of Adam. What was lost in the garden of Eden was found through Jesus Christ. As death came through Adam, life came through Lord Jesus Christ.

Crookedness refers to the means by which people accomplish their objectives—doing whatever it takes to get what they want.

Perversion means the alteration of something from its original course, meaning, or state to a distortion or corruption of what was first intended. It also means sexual behavior or desire that is considered to be abnormal or unacceptable.

It is so ironic that we are witnessing the times that was mentioned thousands of years ago in the Bible. But what else did Paul write? He said that the believers need to be blameless and harmless and most importantly shine as lights in the world. As our Lord made the stars and placed them in the heavens, He made us His Ambassadors to represent Him and placed us in this world filled with crookedness and perversion to replace the darkness with His children as lights to shine in the world. The question that we need to ask ourselves is that are we ready for the task? Do we have the boldness to do the Lord’s work? The answer is YES and YES. God did not give us the Spirit of fear, but He has given the Spirit of love and of power and of sound mind.

We have to always remember the cross of Calvary. How much it cost our God to save us. How our Lord Jesus was put through the misery of death, how He was crucified for our sins sake. How He conquered the death and rose from the dead on the third day. At the end of the day victory always belongs to the God of the Universe. His sovereignty rules over all and everything.

In this crooked and perverse generation may we shine as lights in this world. Hallelujah! Praise God and Praise our Lord Jesus Christ. Until next time. In Jesus precious name. Amen.

Maranatha!
