God’s Word of the Day April 26 2023 But I discipline my body

1 Corinthians 9:27

But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

Whatever Apostle Paul preached he practiced. Whoever follows the Word of God, should abide by it. For the Word of God is living and active and sharper than a double edged sword says the writer of Hebrews in chapter 4 vs 12. If anyone is unable to live by the Word of God then it is not recommended that they should even live as a Christian. There are many who call themselves to be Christians but follow other men and women to get to God. They are brain washed by their leaders that in order to get to Jesus they need to go through a third party.

Nowhere in the scripture says to follow someone else to receive your salvation. Acts 4 vs 12 declares that no one else can save us. Indeed, we can be saved only by the power of the one named Yeshua and not by any other person. Especially no dead person can save any living person. There’s no way to know whether that dead person is in heaven or hell. Guessing will not help. So, how can they help? It started many centuries ago by people who themselves were not saved and came up with a clever way to impress people who were lost and seeking to find a way to get closer to the God of creation.

All of those whose popularized the notion of following the dead people whether it is Mary, or Joseph Smith, or Ellen White, or the Jehovah’s witnesses had no business rallying for these people. If these people (excluding Mary) truly received Christ as their personal savior, they would not have written books about themselves and their visions. The Bible is God breathed and that means it is the living Word of God. There is no need to follow other books written by the cultists parallelly. Unless we exhibit self-control it is so easy to fall prey for these kind of attractions.

Paul said that he disciplines his body and keeps it in check so that he would not be carried or drift away by the worldly ways that is either by philosophies of this world or cleverly written religious books or fables written by fake authors. Not only does this apply to Saint Paul but also applies to every born again believer. It is so easy to be carried away by the thoughts and philosophies of this world. That is the reason it is so important to check ourselves everyday. How does one check to see if we are qualified to inherit the kingdom of God or not? First begin by prayer and meditation on the Word of God everyday. Don’t leave out the days even if you are busy. If the devil sees that, then he is going come up with a scheme to distract us away from God enabling us to fall for his kingdom.

Hallelujah! Praise God and Praise our Lord Jesus Christ. Until next time. In Jesus precious name. Amen.

Maranatha!
