Genesis 32:28

And He said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.”

The first chapter of Psalm verse one declares that:

Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

Ever since the nation of Israel was declared, foreign actors have always wanted to snatch the land away from the Jewish people. After the temple was destroyed in AD 70, the Jews were exiled from the city, and it became a place of pilgrimage where they would return to lament their loss (it was long known as the Wailing Wall for that reason). In the recent times United States and other countries want to help Israel establish a two state solution. But little do they understand that it is not in their ability to achieve this. Neighboring countries and the UN think that it is possible to push Israel to accept the two state solution. What they do not understand is that God promised Abraham that those who bless the nation of Israel will be blessed and those who curse the nation of Israel will be cursed. So, all of these countries and their entities that are scheming will be brought to justice under the wrath of God.

The Psalmist describes that a person is blessed when they do not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stand in the path of sinners, and doesn’t sit with the disrespectful. Any person who is blessed by God and understands the nature of God, realizes that man’s life is just a mere vapor as Saint James says in:

James 4:14: whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.

Man is unable to understand how the sovereignty of God rules over the entire Universe until that man repents of his sins and asks God’s forgiveness through the blood of Jesus Christ. Then God sends His Spirit to dwell within us. Only the Spirit of God can unravel the existence of God. Until then man will scheme endlessly with the assistance of the devil and his followers to do evil all the time. Did you know that even if a man lived without harming or hurting anyone by words or deeds throughout his life, generous and kind hearted and always donated or gave his money away to the poor and always strived to achieve peace with the neighbors, he will still be an enemy of God? But the world calls the one who does all the things mentioned above as a great man. The Word of God declares that friendship with world is enmity with God. Nothing else matters.

A man who is obedient to the Word of God knows how to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Many of them who live in Israel may not know this. Supernaturally the land of Israel is protected by the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Friends it is not too late to accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior. He is the only One we have whether we like the truth or not.
