A woman, when she is in labor, has sorrow because her hour has come; but as soon as she has given birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a man has been born into the world.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Wishing all mothers a very happy Mother’s Day! Without mothers there wouldn’t be any people in this world living today. God blessed Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply. Motherhood is a blessing of God. Every adult person has to thank their mother for bringing them into this world.

Mothers not only go through labor pains during childbirth but they also sacrifice their lives to take care of their children and also their husbands and sometimes even extended families. The sacrificial nature of a mother is bar none. One example of the women of the Bible is Mary.

Mary was the mother of Jesus and was chosen by God to bring His own Son into the world. She is one example of submission, obedience, and humility in a society where women were regulated to second-class citizens. However, God’s blessing and protection rested on her.

In Luke 1:26-38, the Bible tells the story of how Mary surrendered to God’s will for her life without hesitation, despite the fact she was just a teenager and would face consequences for becoming pregnant before marriage. She gave her life to serve the one true God and bear His son.

Celebrate by thanking and honoring your mother this Mother’s Day for not only bringing you into this world but also help you to grow up. For her unparalleled commitment in making you as an integral part of her life.
