1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
In yesterday’s blog some of the things that Christ predicted have come to pass. As I have mentioned before, there is nothing that is holding up the return of the Lord. The stage is set. Jesus Christ said in:
Matthew 24 vs 36:
36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
According to Jesus no one knows the day and the hour of His coming. But one thing is mentioned clearly in First Thessalonians chapter four verse sixteen. The first thing that happens is that Lord Jesus Christ will descend from heaven with a shout with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God. These three events happen simultaneously commanding God’s victory called the RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH. It stills the enemy. Up until this time, the Satan was causing havoc against the children of God. A praise shout is a weapon of spiritual warfare. The shout of Jesus and the trumpet of God along with archangel’s voice allows all the dead in Christ to rise first. These are the ones that were born again believers when they were alive and never deviated from their faith from the ages past. Some of them were buried in the ground, some were cut into pieces or chopped or murdered, some of them were drowned in the waters and yet some of them were burned to ashes. No matter what was the form of death, they all will be gathered to receive a new incorruptible and glorious body.
Then the Word of God goes on to say that those who are still alive will be caught up in the twinkling of an eye. That is one blink of the eye. Too fast to count.
Frist Corinthians 15 verses 51 & 52:
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye
At the blink of the eye, the corruptible will become incorruptible and mortal bodies will inherit immortality. This is not a cleverly fabricated story. This is the true Word of God. If one believes that we are living on this planet earth then better believe that God exists. Believing in God should be the priority of everyone living on this earth. Recently the ex-governor of California claimed that there is no God. He also claimed that nothing happens after someone dies. That’s that. How sad of a statement is that? When we see people around us, and the beauty of the nature that surrounds us, how can we not believe that God doesn’t exist? Take a look at the world’s famous iconic structures or buildings. Do you think they exist themselves overnight by some cosmic accident or explosion? No. To build a massive structure or a building, a master architecture is needed and he has to come up with a plan or an idea to put all together.
A person can become the president of a nation but if that person doesn’t understand the moral and spiritual laws of God, then it is a pity for that person to serve as a president because he will stand in the judgement of God one day and will be held accountable for all his actions.
More tomorrow.
May we all give thanks to God the Father through Jesus Christ for removing us from the hour of trial which is going to come upon this world. That time is called the tribulation. For the wrath of God will be poured like never before during that time.
In Jesus mighty name. Amen.
Maranatha!
