1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
Continued from the June 10th blog. Paul declared in the above verse seventeen that those who are alive and remain on the earth shall be caught up together with the dead in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Lord Jesus Christ in this case does not step His feet on the earth, instead the believers are going to meet Him in the mid-air. Once again it is beyond human comprehension to understand this supernatural meeting with Jesus. Jesus says in the Gospel of Matthew that is is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of the needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
Matthew 19:24:
24 And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
God is able to pass the camel through the eye of a needle. He has the power to do it. And then He goes on to say to His disciples in verse 26,
Matthew 19:26:
26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
So, with God all things are possible. Meeting Jesus Christ in the mid-air is possible as we serve a mighty God who has no end and no beginning. That is the reason those who died in Christ and those who are alive in Christ shall all be caught up in the RAPTURE OF THE BELIEVERS IN CHRIST.
Now the question remains why should God remove His saints from the hour of trial? As I mentioned in my previous blog(s) there are many who believe in the pre-tribulation rapture, and some believe in the mid-tribulation rapture and then the remaining believe in the post-tribulation rapture. The expectation of the post-trib group is that they would go through the most disastrous time of seven years on the earth and then finally as the Lord’s second coming occurs that is when He sets His feet upon the Mount of Olives certain things are going to happen as mentioned below:
1. Zechariah 14 verse 4
4 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,
Which faces Jerusalem on the east.
And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two,
From east to west,
And in verse six,
2. Zechariah 14 verse 6
6 It shall come to pass in that day
That there will be no light;
The lights will diminish.
3. Verse 12 states:
12 And this shall be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem:
Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet,
Their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets,
And their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths.
At the end of the 3rd verse mentioned above, there would not be any need for the church to be raptured. So, to all those who believe in post-trib rapture the chances of being raptured after the tribulation does not make any sense. Moreover, during the great tribulation believers in Christ will be martyred. The age of God’s grace will end with the beginning of the tribulation. Currently God’s grace is everywhere. Romans chapter five verse twenty declares:
Romans 5 vs 20:
But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,
This is the reason today in this world where sin excels there the grace of God excels much more. But during the great tribulation believers are monitored using surveillance methods and will become the targets of wrong doing for their belief in Christ. The believers will be imprisoned and perhaps killed. It is written in the Book of Revelation chapter six verse nine.
Revelation 6 verse 9:
9 When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held.
There will be many souls of those who will be martyred for Christ’s sake during the tribulation period.
More tomorrow.
May we all give thanks to God the Father through Jesus Christ for removing us from the hour of trial which is going to come upon this world. That time is called the tribulation. For the wrath of God will be poured like never before during that time.
In Jesus mighty name. Amen.
Maranatha!
