Colossians 3:15

¹⁵ And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

There are so many people in this world calling themselves to be the gurus of peace. They all say world peace but without the knowledge of Jesus Christ. According to these folks they have been following their ancestors and learning from them for ages on how to practice peace. In today’s world yoga has been making headlines all over the news. Some of the churches have been influenced by yoga and other transcendental meditation techniques. Can these group of individuals stand a chance against God’s peace? The answer is a thundering NO. First of all these so called experts in peace have no idea of who their maker is. Many of these teachers belong to new age groups. What they don’t understand is that every person that has ever lived or still living on this earth has been made by the only immortal God. He is the creator of heavens and the earth and all that is in between the earth and heaven. Without His knowledge nothing came into existence. His name is Yahweh.

The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is the author of this beautiful world. He made the entire Universe. Not to mention human beings are part of His creation.

Psalm 139 vs 13-14:

¹³ For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
¹⁴ I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.

Nothing that was created was created accidentally by God. Many people of this world have no idea who the real true God is. They are stuck in their belief system worshipping idols and false gods. So they had to come up with clever ideas and notions on how to worship them. Since the beginning of the creation man was given the choice to chose between good and evil. In fact after creating the man on the sixth day, the Lord God saw everything He had made and indeed it was very good.

Genesis 1 verse 31:

³¹ Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good.

No human being can comprehend the glory of God’s creation. The glory and the beauty of God’s creation suffered when sin entered into the garden of Eden. Adam was given the choice to chose between the Tree of Life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Adam chose the latter thereby he put the entire humanity under a curse. This curse is still active today. That is the reason many unbelievers practice their own methods of peace and prosperity techniques.

By choosing things according to his likeness man has ended up with a depraved mind and lost the ability to seek the knowledge of God. How sad it is to see people losing their way for eternity. The peace that the world is promoting today is promoted by the devil and his followers. Do not be caught up in the lies of this world trying to offer peace. The only peace that a person can receive is from the God above. No man can ever bring any kind of peace. Jesus said in John 14 verse 27:

John 14:27:

²⁷ Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

When we seek Christ and receive Him into our hearts, we receive His peace. The peace of God is the only peace that will rule the heart of a true born again believer. Praise God!
