Psalm 103:2

² Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:

Many times we hear people saying that a certain person has been a blessing in their lives. Now can a person be a blessing to another person? It is simple. The answer is YES. When an individual goes out of the way to help another individual we recognize the person who helped us either by thanking or by saying pleasant words. It is a way of showing gratitude to our helper. Similarly when the Lord blesses us, we have to acknowledge God by thanking Him back. Of course man can never match the blessings from God above. But what man can do in return is to bless the Lord by being obedient to the Word of God. The Lord God is the giver of all good things and His gifts come from above. James chapter one verse seventeen says this:

James 1 verse 17:

¹⁷ Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

There are countless number of promises from God throughout the Bible to those who are His children. In order to receive the blessing from God, one has to become a child of God. Now the question is, how does one become a child of God? The answer is found in the Gospel of John chapter one verse twelve.

John 1 verse 12:

¹² But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 

As many as received Christ Jesus, to them He gave the right to become the children of God. There is no other way that one can become a child of God. No one can become a child of God by any other method. In the world we live in people say that there are many ways to God. That’s a lie. There’s only one way to God that created this entire Universe. His name is Jesus Christ. Only saved people through Christ are allowed go through Him to the Father. God in His infinite mind, created us and has placed us on this earth that He created. He chose us even before the foundation of this earth was laid down and called us to serve Him at the appointed time.

This truth we have to recognize. Just bringing us into this world in itself is a great news. God does things that it is beyond man’s ability to understand. His ways are much higher than ours. But the results of His creation can be witnessed by every person living on this planet. One can look at the fellow humans, the different animal species, birds, sea creatures, plants and trees, the blue sky, water, rivers and seas just to name a few and wonder how all these things were made by God. Because God who has no end and no beginning planned this and made us all a part of His order of creation. In order for us to understand God’s creation, this whole lifetime is not sufficient. Man has only been given a glimpse of God’s vast knowledge. Hence man is obligated to bless God back by worshipping and by thanksgiving. He has no choice. Man cannot ignore this truth. Whoever does not bless God, the wrath of God rests on that person. Today in this world there are more number of ignorant people who don’t acknowledge that Lord Jesus Christ exists and that He is the only way to the Father. Without knowing Christ no one can enter into the kingdom of God. He is the only One through which we must enter to see the Father. Do not believe the lies of this world. The devil is the father of lies. His job is to deceive people of all races and tongues.

Seek Christ today and begin to bless Him. In return He will bless us with blessings that we have never seen before.
