Genesis 6:11

¹¹ The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

The Word of God describes that the earth was corrupt before God and the earth filled with violence. Show me a nation where there is no corruption at this present time. What is corruption? It is a common word used in every day to day human experience. It refers to a degenerate state, debased state, prevention, invalid state, putrid state, spoiled, fainted, vitiates and unsound experience.

In the world we live in there are many teachings from different religions and then there are self made gurus who teach self-motivation techniques. But the main ingredient that is missing in all of these teachings is the morality of human beings. In order to understand the morality of human beings, one needs a reference point or the origin of morality. All religions are born out of earthly or man made origins. Moral laws originate only from the true God and God alone. He is the author of morality. In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth, Him alone created the Universe. God did not use human being(s) to create this vast Universe.

God after creating the Universe by His own power and glory created the first man Adam. Adam was no ordinary being. He was created in the likeness of God meaning he had no sin in him. Then God created Eve using Adam’s rib. What this means is that Eve will remain a part of Adam’s flesh. In other words woman will be always be a part of man no matter what people would like to think otherwise. This is a great mystery that man cannot understand. If Eve was formed out of Adam’s rib, then she is a member of Adam’s body. If a member of body hurts then the whole body hurts and if the whole body hurts, then the head will hurt too.

In Genesis chapter six we read that the Lord was grieved.

Genesis 6:6

⁶ And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.

The Lord was grieved because there was a connection between the man, woman and God. The likeness and the image of God enabled the connection between God and the man until sin entered into God’s creation. You see in today’s world no one is grieved anymore. So many lies are floating in this world today. It is a propaganda by the enemy, the Devil or the Satan has confused the people of this world. Only a believer in Christ will understand the sorrow of God. Because these saved people are connected to God just as Adam was connected in the beginning. Whoever makes Jesus as the Head of their body spiritually speaking are connected to God. See, it is a natural thing when a member (body part) of the body is hurt then the whole body hurts. This spiritual truth can only be understood by the people who belong to Christ. They are the ones who truly experience the sorrow of God.

Acts 16:31

³¹ So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household.
