John 10:30

³⁰ I and My Father are one.

From the above passage, Lord Jesus Christ claimed that He and the Father are one. This is a very bold statement for Jesus Christ to make that He is equal to God the Father. For example, someone can make a statement that he is a CEO of a company but if he is unable to prove it then he is lying. Similarly if Jesus claimed that He and His Father are one but unable to prove it, then our faith in Christ is a mere waste of time. All the efforts that went into preaching the Good News by millions of saved Christians for centuries has gone into the dumpster.

Now why would Jesus Christ make such a bold claim? Was He a liar trying to confuse people during His time on the earth? In the world we are living there are many imitators claiming to be something when they are actually not. We call these people as actors. As an example, the leaders of this free world claim to know the fix for the climate change when there is no climate change issue to begin with. They seem to have all the answers for the problems of this world. The Chinese seem to know how to unite the world by creating a new world order. All of these leaders are lying to please themselves. None of the created human beings have the power to bring peace on this earth.

Prophet Isaiah prophesied about the Son of God Lord Jesus Christ in the Book of Isaiah chapter nine and verse six:

Isaiah 9:6

⁶ For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

To write about each of the above attributes of Jesus Christ, will take an entire lifetime and beyond. There are things that are written about Christ that are beyond our comprehension. But one thing I would like to highlight here is that His name will be called Mighty God. This a title that only belongs to God the creator of billions and billions of galaxies. Earth is just a part of one of those galaxies. Jesus Christ is called as the Mighty God. Now Isaiah the writer of the Book of Isaiah did not accidentally write this passage. God in His infinite mind spoke to Isaiah through a vision. Isaiah received this revelation from God 700 years before the birth of Jesus Christ the Messiah.

Whatever Isaiah saw in that vision he recorded it. How great is our God who revealed this prophecy to Isaiah about Christ, the Son of God! Who is Jesus Christ? He is the Mighty God, who has no end and no beginning. He is the first and the last. He is the Alpha and He is the Omega. People who disrespect Jesus Christ and His authority are ignorant of His power. Only a fool would not know who Christ Jesus is. Do you mean to tell me that all the world leaders are fools? Yes. If they fail to recognize who Christ is then God looks at them and laughs at them for their foolish ideas. Because God has the last laugh of every created human being who act as if they know everything.

“Mighty” is a translation of the Hebrew word “gibbor,” which is defined as “strength, power, hero, warrior.” Isaiah 9:6 tells us that Jesus is El Gibbor, the God of Strength, the God of Power, God our Hero, and God our Warrior.

Have you received the free gift of salvation through Christ Jesus? It is not too late. The Bible in Acts 16 verse 31 says this:

Acts 16:31

³¹ So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household.
