John 10:30

³⁰ I and My Father are one.

We saw yesterday that Jesus Christ is called Mighty God according to Isaiah 9:6. John recorded the Words of Jesus in John 10:30 that Christ and the Father are one. The Words of Jesus Christ are one hundred percent true. Only those people who have no understanding of the Words of Jesus fail to grasp the truth that is in those Words. One of the important passages of the Bible is mentioned in the Gospel of John chapter three and verse sixteen.

John 3:16

¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Jesus Christ came into this world to save those who were lost. Now what does it mean for someone to get lost? People who get lost are lost for two reasons. One is that they do not have the directions to reach their destination and number two is that they do not ask for help when they are lost. The people who are lost think that they can somehow find their way on their own. First of all if they don’t have the directions to their destination, how are they going to find the right path? Finding a way is not done by trial and error. One has to be confident of the way he is heading.

This is the reason, man made religions and those who follow them are lost. People will loiter their entire lifetime because there is no guidance guiding them. This is why Jesus Christ came into this world to preach the Gospel or the Good News to the people who are lost and to save them from the wrath of God.

Romans 10:14-15

¹⁴ How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? ¹⁵ And how shall they preach unless they are sent?

As Apostle Paul said this: “how shall anyone preach unless they are sent?” So, Father God sent His Son Lord Jesus Christ to pave the way for us. Jesus Christ is the author and perfecter of our faith. God expects each one of us those who have received the revelation of Jesus Christ to imitate Him. Christ was the first person to preach the Gospel and those who are remaining on this earth have to follow His lead. Christ Jesus is the Mighty God who came as the Son of God and as the Son of Man. He was fully God and He was fully Man. By hearing the Word of God preached by Christ, we now believe in Him who raised Christ from the dead. So, Jesus Christ is not just some carpenter of Nazareth or a poor baby of Mary. He is the Lord of heavens and the earth.

The Jews might not recognize Him as the Messiah nor the Muslims have any understanding of the intensity of the glory of Jesus Christ. Surely He is the preeminence of everything.  First in importance, first in honor, first in exaltation. And the grammar of the verse indicates that Jesus is the “head” and the “beginning” and the “firstborn” in order that or for the purpose that Jesus might be the preeminent one. This is not about condemning other religions. First of all just to make it clear there is no other name under the heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

Acts 4:12

¹² Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Have you received the free gift of salvation through Christ Jesus? It is not too late. The Bible in Acts 16 verse 31 says this:

Acts 16:31

³¹ So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household.
