³⁰ for those who honor Me I will honor, …..

If someone asks a question of how many kinds of people are there in the world? Some respond by saying nine, or seven and some say four or five kinds. It does not matter whether a person belongs to a particular race, or tongue, or a region and or a tribe. Today I want to share with you that, Biblically speaking there are only two kinds of people living in this world since the creation of man called Adam by God. A person who honors God and other who dishonors God. We know the story of Cain, the first born of Adam and Eve. He dishonored God by offering profane offerings. Many times when we hear the word ‘profane’ we think of the language that is being used.

In this world the term profanity is used loosely to express frustration. Sometimes to express anger and rage. Some families allow their children to use profanity because the parents themselves use it quite frequently thus allowing their children to imitate their parents. Profanity is used in the highest levels of Governments.

The Biblical meaning of profanity is to disrespect God or being irreverent towards His creation. A person leading a life to enjoy the worldly pleasures dishonors God. A person knows whether he is honoring God or not by the way he lives. In the above passage from First Samuel chapter two, God is saying those who honor Him them He will honor.

In order to honor God, first of all people need to know who God is. Without proper understanding of who the Creator is, whatever man does is in vain and thus profane. Thousands of man made religions, theories and thoughts and philosophies exist today. All of these are worthless things and are going to be wiped out by God sooner or later. The first and the foremost thing for man is to learn to honor God. When God formed man, He gave man the ability to chose between right and wrong, the ability to distinguish between light and darkness and to differentiate between left and right hand. God embedded these qualities into our DNA. But because of man’s foolish behavior, man has lost the ability to differentiate between right and wrong and between light and darkness. Because of this men of this world have been dishonoring God for centuries.

Our God is a loving, passionate and compassionate God who waits patiently for one person to come to Him and honor Him. Instead man has repeatedly dishonored God by the way of living a lifestyle pleasing to him and himself only. Man has only two choices, either to honor God or to dishonor God. It is ‘either’, ‘or’. There are many people in the world today saying that they don’t know who to believe because there are myriads of religions confusing the minds of men. All these religions will pass away when the earth according to the Word of God, passes away. Those who did not remember to honor God will be judged by God. No religions of this world will survive and be able to protect you at that time.

There is only One God and His only Son Lord Jesus Christ through whom we must be saved. Jesus is the only way to the Father. Once a person comes to the saving grace of God, then he will begin to understand what it means to honor God. There is no other way in this world to honor the Father.

Have you received the free gift of salvation through Christ Jesus? It is not too late. The Bible in Acts 16 verse 31 says this:

Acts 16:31

³¹ So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household.
