Isaiah 55:6
6 Seek the Lord while He may be found,
Call upon Him while He is near.
Who needs to seek the Lord, you might ask? Prophet Isaiah which is believed to be addressed to the exiles who were returning from Babylon. Among other things that Isaiah mentioned in chapter fifty five, verse six exhorts to seek the Lord while He may be found. As a matter of fact Isaiah chapter 55 is an invitation to receive the abundant life. Every human being born into this world that God has created is an exile until he or she comes into contact with Jesus Christ. The reason we see so many religions and so many strange activities that are ongoing in this world is due to man’s arrogance of not seeking the one and the only true God through His Son Jesus Christ.
When we consider truth, there is only one absolute truth. But during the course of the history man began to believe in the relative truth. Whatever man felt that it is right, he believed in them. To this day man does not realize that no relative truth exists in this Universe. This world is not built by God based on relative truth. God built this Universe based on His truth which is the absolute truth. How come not everyone is seeking the Lord? Does that mean only a few need to seek the Lord? Absolutely NOT.
First Timothy chapter two verses four thru six says this:
4 God wants everyone to be saved and to fully understand the truth. 5 There is only one God, and there is only one way that people can reach God. That way is through Christ Jesus, who as a man 6 gave himself to pay for everyone to be free. This is the message that was given to us at just the right time.
How can a person be saved without first seeking God? God wills that everyone is saved and not only be saved but to fully understand His truth. Everyone means everyone that was planned by God even before the foundations of the heaven and earth was laid out. I want the reader to understand that if a person is living and breathing, he is brought into this world for only one purpose that is to seek the Lord. There is nothing else that God wants from us other than to seek Him through His Son Lord Jesus Christ. This is His will for the entire mankind. It does not matter how rich a person is or how royal his family is. It does not matter whether he is a king of a kingdom or it does not matter if he is a low-life. As I mentioned earlier every person of this earth belongs to God. But because man chose to believe the lies of this world and learned to lead a lifestyle of a rebel, he will loose the inheritance that God reserved for him.
Those who do not seek the Lord through Jesus Christ have no idea of what they are missing. Lord Jesus Christ is greater than your family members, He is greater than all the money that one possess. No fame or celebrity status comes close to Jesus Christ. Seeking the Lord won’t be available forever. This is a limited opportunity for anyone seeking the Lord. Hundred years can quickly pass by. We hear from families saying that they feel like their kids were born like yesterday but now are having babies themselves. Time flies. Friends please do not neglect the time to seek the Lord and call on His name. Pretty soon you might be in a place far away from Him. Even if you cry at that time, it will be of no use. There are many great men of this world who at one time or the other showed extraordinary courage and strength to subdue their enemies. Some have murdered men, women and children ruthlessly. They were not afraid of anyone yet they all have died. These men and women failed to seek the Lord while they were alive.
And then some of the men and women were researching on unfruitful things their entire lives and did not give even a minute of their time in seeking the Living God. Many of them live no longer. Today no one remembers them. A city is not recognized by the people living there but by the builder of that great city who invested his thoughts and ideas. The credit goes to the Chief Architect who designed and built the city. Similarly God is the Chief Architect of this beautiful Universe that He has made for us. Those who seek Him will be with Him for eternity.
Have you received the free gift of salvation through Christ Jesus? It is not too late. The Bible in Acts 16 verse 31 says this:
Acts 16:31
31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household.
In Jesus precious name! Amen.
Maranatha!
