Job 38:4

⁴ “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding.

God in His infinite wisdom questioned Job the whereabouts of Job when God laid the foundations of the earth. Today and in the past many people have played the god role. They make bold statements and predict that the humanity is going to collapse. Or they say that the world is going to end in ten years and everyone of them is going to die. These people who say these kind of things are nothing but liars. History repeats itself that many of them in the past either tried to conquer the world by killing people and destroying kingdoms or the cities that the inhabitants of that city were living in. Today we see a similar situation although not exactly as in the past but we are seeing governments destroying people’s lives. All in the name of peace and justice.

Where were the men from the past and the present age when God laid the foundations of the earth? You see men can brag about their achievements. Governments can brag about how far they have come in the advancements of mankind. But the problem arises when governments begin to overthrow the power of God and underestimate His existence. When we examine the role of a government or an empire we see that they rise and fall. Take for example in the ancient times kings were enlarging their territories by conquering the kingdoms of other rulers by subduing the armies of the enemies and either by capturing or killing the kings of the neighboring areas.

Man in his finite mind thinks that he can do anything he likes. He doesn’t even think how he ended up on this earth and doesn’t realize where he is going to spend the eternity after his passing. Such are the ways of man. There are many things that man can never comprehend. It is beyond man’s ability to grasp and understand the works of God.

God’s way is beyond man’s understanding. Job chapter thirty seven and verse seven says this:

Job 37:7

⁷ He brings all human activity to a stop,
so that everyone he has made can know it.

God brings every person’s activity to a stop so that the person may know who made him. This is not something that is to be taken lightly. Every human being that is born out of their mother’s womb will one day know that God made that person and His sovereignty rules over all of the creation and that includes every person whether living or dead. In the current world almost every nation is rebelling against God, our Creator. There is not a single nation that is obedient to the Word of God. That includes the nation of Israel. Every nation needs to come to the understanding of the Power of God. When I say nation it is the ruling government of that nation or country. Our God out of His abundant mercy and grace is giving each one of us chance after chance to seek Him.

The life He gives to each one of us to live on this earth is only once. No one gets to born again and again taking some form of an animal or some other living creature. There’s lot out there about reincarnation. God gives us the opportunity to seek Him only once in this life. After that man will face the judgement of God through His Son Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 10:13

¹³ For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
