Psalm 132:13-14
13 For the Lord has chosen Zion;
He has desired it for His dwelling place:
14 “This is My resting place forever;
Here I will dwell, for I have desired it.
Many prophecies have been pronounced over Jerusalem. Some have already been fulfilled, but others are yet to be.
Daniel 9:19
19 O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act! Do not delay for Your own sake, my God, for Your city and Your people are called by Your name.”
in the above verse, Daniel tells us that the city and its people are called by His name.
And in Isaiah 60:14, we are told that Jerusalem is called “Zion of the Holy One of Israel.”
No god other than the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Israel) can claim Jerusalem as their own. And no other people group can claim Jerusalem as their inheritance except those who have called the God of Israel, Yahweh, their LORD.
Nevertheless, it stands tall in its calling to be a light to the nations as a shining city on a hill. So, let us pray for the peace of Jerusalem. This is a mandate ordained by God for every born again believer in Christ.
Psalm 122:6
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who love you.
Have you received the free gift of salvation through Christ Jesus? It is not too late. The Bible in Acts 16 verse 31 says this:
Acts 16:31
31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household.
