The parable of the Wheat and the Tares
Matthew 13:30
30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”
Jesus went on to say to the disciples, that in the parable of wheat and tares, the Master said to his servants to hold off pulling the weeds until the harvest time. And then the Master will say to the reapers to gather together the weeds and bind them in bundles to burn them. Here we see the reapers being the angels dispatched by God Himself.
The Word of God declares this in:
Revelation 9:15
15 So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind.
There’s another area from the Word of God, where we see the reapers or the angels gathering the vine of the earth.
Revelation 14:19-20
19 So the angel swung his sickle over the earth and loaded the grapes into the great winepress of God’s wrath. 20 The grapes were trampled in the winepress outside the city, and blood flowed from the winepress in a stream about 180 miles long and as high as a horse’s bridle.
The above verse 19 means this: The mature grapes are gathered and thrown into the great winepress of the wrath of God. The trampling of grapes in the process of making wine is used here as a picture of crushing judgment.
Verse 20 means this: This vintage takes place outside the city of Jerusalem, perhaps in the Valley of Jehoshaphat. The carnage will be so great that blood will flow in a stream 180 miles long and as deep as the horses’ bridles. This would reach from Jerusalem to the south of Edom. The blood ran as far as a man could walk in seven days.
There are many people in this world who have underestimated the power of God. Many are trampling Lord Jesus Christ every second of their lives. I will tell you a great mystery. No one, I mean no one is allowed to take the name of Jesus Christ in vain. Lord Jesus Christ came as a servant to serve the humanity during His first coming. But in His second coming He will no longer be the servant but He will come as the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Those who followed the false religions will be brought to their knees and will be made to confess that Jesus is Lord whether they like it or not.
The Bible declares that Lord Jesus Christ is the judge of the living and the dead. There’s no escape from His judgements. Seek the Lord Jesus Christ while He is found.
Let us not forget to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
Psalm 122:6
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who love you.
Have you received the free gift of salvation through Christ Jesus? It is not too late. The Bible in Acts 16 verse 31 says this:
Acts 16:31
31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household.
In Jesus precious name! Amen.
Maranatha!
