Lamentations 3:22

²² Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.

One of the greatest mystery is that in order for man to know God, only God can open the man’s heart and make him understand about God. No other religion teaches about this Truth. Normal person has no clue of who God is. Yes. They can reach to their own conclusions about who this God is or how He looks like. This is the reason people have created idols for centuries that looked like some figurines carved either out of wood or stone or using some joint compound like plaster of Paris. This practice of carving or sculpting of idols gave man much needed power to focus on these false idols.

If one were to travel to Asia you will find massive figures of Buddha cut out of huge boulders of rock and the temples that have been built to house these idols. Over a billion people in India worship idols. If one visits China over a billion people do not know who the true God is. As a matter of fact their leader is their god. So many countries and so many religions and yet many of them do not know who is the real God and who is the false god. As I mentioned earlier only God can teach us who He is. This is the reason the first thing that happens in the life of a believer after he or she accepts Christ is that God sends His Spirit into that person and is sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. The reason Holy Spirit takes a residence in us is to reveal about Jesus Christ. This is how a believer begins to understand and learns about Jesus Christ and the Father. Without the Holy Spirt living in us no one is able to know who the Father is.

It is not like practicing the five pillars as stated in the religion of Islam. One can read the Torah, memorize Torah but without Jesus all that time and effort memorizing will be in vain. In the above passage from the Book of Lamentations chapter three we read that because of the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed. You see for centuries man has decided that he would invent god(s) for his purpose and for his will. Man needed some form of worship and something to focus his attention on to. When man walks away from the true God, all he has got left is a false god.

But what did God, the creator of mankind do? Nothing. God gave man chance after chance. God did not wipe out all these religions. They are all thriving better than ever. But a time has been appointed by God for His Son Lord Jesus Christ to return and set things right. Until then God gives man opportunity after opportunity to come clean and this is because we serve a merciful God. Our God is a God of compassion. Hinduism goes back 4000 years, Buddhism goes back 2500 years, Islamism goes back 1600 years, the Chinese go back 3500 years, for the last 2000+ years the Jewish people knew about Christ Jesus and yet their hearts are hardened. In spite of all these things God did not destroy any one of them. When God speaks His Words are straight and true. He does not change what He says. The door He shuts no one can open. The door He opens no one can shut. The earth is held together by His magnificent power and glory. Nothing escapes our Lord Jesus Christ.

The only reason all these religions and the people who are embracing those religions are surviving is because of the mercy and compassion of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the truth that no one can alter it. Without the presence of Christ in our life, there is no way one can have a relationship with God the Father.

The Bible declares that Lord Jesus Christ is the judge of the living and the dead. The first advent Jesus came as the Son of Man. The second advent, Lord Jesus Christ will come as the avenger. He will return as the King of kings and the Lord of lords. There’s no escape from His judgements. Seek the Lord Jesus Christ while He is found.

Let us not forget to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Psalm 122:6

⁶ Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who love you.

Have you received the free gift of salvation through Christ Jesus? It is not too late. The Bible in Acts 16 verse 31 says this:

Acts 16:31

³¹ So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household.
