Psalm 100:4
4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
God spoke to Moses and told him to build a tabernacle by the children of Israel, so that He would dwell with the people He chose, that is the Israelites. Not only did God command Moses to build the tabernacle but God also gave the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of the furnishings.
Exodus 25:8-9
8 And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. 9 According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it.
The pattern of the tabernacle consisted of four things: 1. Gate or the entrance 2. The Outer Court 3. The Inner Sanctuary or the Holy place 4. The Holy of Holies or the most Holy Place.
There was only one gate or one entrance to enter into the tabernacle. Tabernacle means a place of dwelling. This is the place where God dwelled among the Israelites. Since the beginning our Lord’s intention was to fellowship with the man that He created. The reason is that God loved the man Adam with an unconditional love. And so His love is unconditional to anyone who believes in Him. Since that time His love for us never ended. When God saw the suffering of man because of sin, He appointed animal sacrificial system. But later on He decided to forgive our sins and redeem us and reconcile us to Himself by sending His begotten Son Lord Jesus Christ into this world.
The Psalmist King David in the above verse 4 encouraged God’s children to enter into the gates with thanksgiving. Here entering into the gate is entering into the place where God dwells. Man cannot enter by any means other than to enter through the gate and with gratitude and thanksgiving. Many times we enter into God’s presence with complaining and grumbling and with sad countenance. Did you know out of the eight billion people of the world, you have been called and chosen and allowed to enter into the gates of God? This is the most highest privilege anyone living on this planet can get. With getting such a great opportunity to enter into the presence of God, how should that person be? He or she should be filled with great joy and thanksgiving. As we enter into the season of thanksgiving let us not forget the greatest sacrifice that God allowed for His Son to come into this world only to die for us so that through His blood we could be cleansed and saved.
Did you know even though the Jewish people do not believe in the Messiah, the Messiah indeed came 2000+ years ago and He lived among His people, the Jewish people, but His own people rejected Him. He is the theophany of God. On one occasion Jesus speaking to the Pharisees said this in the Gospel of John chapter ten and verse nine:
John 10:9
9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
Anyone who enters through the Gate called Jesus Christ will be allowed to dwell in the courts of God. This is just the beginning of a born again Christian believer.
The Bible declares that Lord Jesus Christ is the judge of the living and the dead. The first advent Jesus came as the Son of Man. The second advent, Lord Jesus Christ will come as the avenger. He will return as the King of kings and the Lord of lords. There’s no escape from His judgements. Seek the Lord Jesus Christ while He is found.
Let us not forget to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
Psalm 122:6
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who love you.
Have you received the free gift of salvation through Christ Jesus? It is not too late. The Bible in Acts 16 verse 31 says this:
Acts 16:31
31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household.
In Jesus precious name! Amen.
Maranatha!
