Psalm 100:1
1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
The Psalmist is speaking to everything that exists on this earth. He is saying to shout for joy to the Lord.
Affectionately known as “Old Hundredth,” from its tune in the Geneva Psalter (1551), this Psalm is a call to all the earth to worship Lord God Jehovah. Its summons goes beyond the narrow confines of Israel to all the Gentile lands. Albert Barnes the great theologian writes:
“The idea is that praise did not pertain to one nation only; that it was not appropriate for one people merely; that it should not be confined to the Hebrew people; but that there was a proper ground of praise for all, there was that in which all nations, of all languages and conditions could unite. The ground of that was the fact that they had one Creator.”
Even if one does not read the words of Barnes, it is evident that the call is for every human being living in this world to worship his Creator.
Psalm 67:3 says this:
3 May the peoples praise you, God;
may all the peoples praise you.
This is the reason one has to be careful not to ignore this truth. Now the next question is how do we praise God? Or how can we praise God? Well, in order to praise God, one should build the confidence in Him who equips us to know about Him. One can develop confidence in God if only he or she knows how to humble before God his Creator. When we praise God, we are declaring that there is no one on this earth or in heaven that is greater than God is. We are praising for who He is! His sovereignty rules over this entire Universe.
This Thanksgiving season please get to know who your Creator is. Do not let another day slip by without knowing Lord Jesus Christ. Because it is He who made us. This is not a made up story. This is the Truth. Believe in Christ Jesus and He will save you.
The Bible declares that Lord Jesus Christ is the judge of the living and the dead. The first advent Jesus came as the Son of Man. The second advent, Lord Jesus Christ will come as the avenger. He will return as the King of kings and the Lord of lords. There’s no escape from His judgements. Seek the Lord Jesus Christ while He is found.
Let us not forget to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
Psalm 122:6
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who love you.
Have you received the free gift of salvation through Christ Jesus? It is not too late. The Bible in Acts 16 verse 31 says this:
Acts 16:31
31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household.
In Jesus precious name! Amen.
Maranatha!
