Psalm 100:5

⁵ For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.

Mercy is one of the attributes of God. Attribute is a characteristic feature of someone or something. In this case we see that God’s mercy is everlasting meaning it has no end. On one occasion the Apostle Peter asked Jesus Christ this question.

Matthew 18:21

²¹ Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”

Then Lord Jesus Christ answered and said:

Matthew 18:22

²² Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. 

Sometimes mercy means not making it difficult for the person who offended you to apologize. That is the mercy of forgiveness. Sometimes mercy means correcting someone gently and not acting smug or vindictive. That is the mercy of grace. God showed His mercy by sending His Son Lord Jesus Christ for our sake. Lord God allowed His Son to be crucified on the cross of Calvary. Jesus Christ died as a propitiation for our sins. That is the reason the Word of God declares that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Our eternal life depends upon what we do for Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible declares that Lord Jesus Christ is the judge of the living and the dead. The first advent Jesus came as the Son of Man. The second advent, Lord Jesus Christ will come as the avenger. He will return as the King of kings and the Lord of lords. There’s no escape from His judgements. Seek the Lord Jesus Christ while He is found.

Let us not forget to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Psalm 122:6

⁶ Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who love you.

Have you received the free gift of salvation through Christ Jesus? It is not too late. The Bible in Acts 16 verse 31 says this:

Acts 16:31

³¹ So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household.
