Isaiah 7:14
14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
From the beginning of the creation, it is God who has done everything without man’s help. After creating the man, God wanted to fellowship with the man that He created. God wanted to dwell with the human beings since the beginning. The pinnacle of God’s creation is man or mankind. Even though man sinned against God, God still loved the man that He formed out of the dust. Even today God loves us unconditionally regardless of our sins.
After Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden, they both hid themselves behind the bushes. Until that point they were able to see each other naked and did not feel ashamed of each other. But after the fall they hid their nakedness from one another. God visited Adam and Eve in the cool of the day and found both Adam and Eve hiding and were found covered their nakedness with fig leaves.
Even though God’s anger arose against the first couple, it was only for a short time. Afterwards we read in the scripture that God made a tunic made of animal skin and covered both Adam and Eve.
Genesis 3:21
21 Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.
Talk about the mercy of God. The mercy that God showed towards Adam and Eve is beyond human understanding. So, did the history of man began. When we read the scriptures, we see that from time to time God chose certain men and women for His purpose that is to make known His good deeds.
But when it was time for God to send His Son amidst sinners God announced through various prophecies beginning in Genesis chapter three and verse fifteen.
Genesis 3:15
15 And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.”
All the way to the end of Old Testament Book of Micah chapter five and verse two.
Micah 5:2
2 “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
Though you are little among the thousands of Judah,
Yet out of you shall come forth to Me
The One to be Ruler in Israel,
Whose goings forth are from of old,
From everlasting.”
God has given us enough notice about the coming of His Son Christ Jesus. Just as Christ’s birth was announced, so is His mid-air return or the rapture has been announced in the Bible and not mention His second coming also has been announced in the scriptures.
For anyone to reject the Son of God willfully will be the most foolish thing to do on this earth.
This Christmas season let us all seek the new born King and Lord Jesus Christ. This is the greatest gift that the Father will lavish upon anyone who seeks His Son.
In Jesus precious name! Amen.
Maranatha!
