Revelation 21:5
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.
God began His creation beginning with heavens and earth. And then the next thing God said, “let there be light”. What did the light do? It began to illuminate the darkness. God saw that the earth was without a form and void. Void means an empty space. Not worthy of anything. Not only God saw that the earth had no form and void but it was filled with darkness.
So, God decreed the earth first by giving it a certain shape, He then removed the emptiness that was present on the earth, He did not remove the emptiness but filled the earth with good things. And the third thing God did was that He removed the darkness. He did not remove the darkness but because of the light the darkness disappeared.
In other words God took an unworthy no form dirt and shaped it, and removed the emptiness and filled it with His love and then He illuminated the darkness with light. When we read the passage from the Book of Revelation chapter 21 and verse 5, we see that our Lord has the power to make all things new. There is no such thing that is impossible for God to accomplish. If God is able to take the earth that was formless, void and filled with darkness into a land filled with light and vegetation and animals and human beings, surely He can make you and me into a new creation in no time. Forming the earth in itself is nothing compared to God’s glory that’s in Him.
Because of His power the heavenly bodies are being held and sustained together. So, when Jesus says that He will make all things new, we better believe it. As God carries us into this new year 2024, let us put our trust and hope in our maker and allow Him to transform us into a new creation.
For anyone to reject the Son of God willfully will be the most foolish thing to do on this earth.
Romans 10:9
9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
In Jesus precious name! Amen.
