God’s Word of the Day January 04 2024 but for the will of God.

Many Christians question themselves about God’s will for their lives. After a person gets saved by the grace of God through faith, he or she begins to ask God to show His will for them. Many times men and women do not understand what it means to seek the will of God. Some of them who are saved at a young age of fifteen or sixteen years, they begin to ask God to show them about their future. Some when they are old enough to marry seek the will of God about their future spouses.

Many so called preachers, pastors, elders and deacons lead a worldly life enjoying the worldly pleasures and then on Sunday go to Church. Their lives are no different than their neighbors. These men love football games, watch reality tv shows, movies just to name a few. They have tattoos all over their bodies. They come to Church sometimes wearing flip-flops, t-shirts and shorts as if they going to a beach party. They have no understanding of reverence of the Holy Spirit. Think about this, if anyone wants to visit the President of a Nation, why would you go in shorts and flip-flops. You want to look your best when you meet that important person. Similarly a person filled with the Holy Spirit must also allow his spirit to be spotless and blameless in God’s presence.

Once a person is saved, he becomes a born again believer. He is always in the presence of God. The Holy Spirit takes a permanent residency inside of us. He lives in us. That means there’s no other opportunity for that believer other than to do the will of God.

The moment a person surrenders his or her life to Christ, instantly the Holy Spirit is sent into us and we are sealed by the Third Person of the Trinity.

Doing the will of God is not choosing a good college for your career or it is not choosing a good husband or wife. Doing the will of God means laboring for God’s kingdom. God did not save us to become CEOs and CFOs of His kingdom. We were saved as day laborers and as co-laborers with Lord Jesus Christ. You see Christ served as a day laborer during His first Advent. Everything He did was according to the will of His Father.

Do you think you are a born again believer? If so, you are a co-laborer with Christ. That means we have work to do. A laborer works hard. He will not let go of his time. Every minute counts. If he loses a minute, he knows that the Master is watching. What if the laborer says I have nothing to do! In God’s vineyard, there’s always work to do. In fact our Lord said this to His disciples:

37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.

When we as born again believers learn to see through the Eyes of our Lord we see the harvest that is plentiful. This is what doing the will of God means. Not choosing what is best for you. When we allow God to do His will in our life then we will see great things happening in our lives.

Let us all allow the Holy Spirit to do mighty things for the kingdom of God this 2024.

because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

In Jesus precious name! Amen.

Maranatha!
