1 Peter 4:2

² that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

The biggest problem of the world we live in, is that the people are not afraid of God. There’s no reverence towards God. Men for centuries have learned to invent things to improve the quality of living conditions. Out of the invented things, man later on developed innovative ideas, and developed even better things. Man has invented space travel. He was able to calculate the distance between the earth and the moon. Man is the most intelligent being on this planet when it comes inventing things and coming up with innovative ideas. As for as studying the human anatomy, man has come a long way. The advancement in the medical field is a major milestone. Today we live in the age of artificial intelligence called the AI.

So, when man began to invent things since the ages past, he has learned to become self-sufficient. Arabs in the Middle East have developed extraordinary skills in building man made islands and on those islands have build cities for the inhabitants. Similarly the Chinese have built islands on the sea and are using it for defense purposes. Elon Musk has planned to build a colony in Mars. Many rich nations, and individuals are planning many things using cutting edge technology even to the extent of conquering the death.

The one thing that the above mentioned people is that they do not believe is in the existence of God. You see, a person who fears God does not go against God’s creation. It is that simple. When a man decides to act and change into a woman, he is able to do this only because he does not fear that there is a God who brought him into this world. Today we see the governments of the world and its leaders, having no fear of God nor do they understand how God brought everything that we see into existence.

Many prominent Christian leaders, Christian singers, and Church members have no fear of God. They preach and sing because God has given them the gift of preaching, teaching, and singing. As for as the members the gift of understanding the scripture. Many of them lead a double life thinking that God is not watching them.

God is a God of love, mercy and grace. Out of His love for His creation whatever He gives us, He will not take it back. That’s His nature. But if we decide to misuse the God given gift that’s our problem. There’s a lot of debate whether a person can lose his salvation or not. The answer is YES, a person can lose his salvation. Salvation is deliverance from our sinful life.

Many so called Christians think that they are never going to lose their salvation and they go on sinning and live a worldly lifestyle. Living a sinful lifestyle means living without the will of God.

Hebrews 10:31

²⁶ For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,

I am reminded of the parable of the prodigal son. It is mentioned in the Gospel of Luke chapter fifteen and verses eleven through thirty two. Here we see that the younger son decides to abandon His Father and goes out and squanders his wealth in wild living. Little did this son know what the Father’s will was. But in the end after the son lost everything, he decides to go back to his Father. You see, the Father stayed and waited for his son to return. The Father did not go after His son. The son had to return back to the Father. Losing salvation is similar to this parable. If one decides to never return to the Father, then it is the son’s loss.

In this parable we see that it is the younger son that decided to go back. The Father did not send His servants to look for the lost son. If the son decided never to go back to the Father’s house, then he would have been lost. This younger son tasted the love of his Father but still decided to leave and squander the money. The lesson learned here is that if we willfully abandon the Father and go to a place to party wildly and then lose the soul that would be the end of that son. This is the reason everyday we have to ask the Lord to forgive and wash our sins by the blood of the Lamb of God. Our Savior Lord Jesus Christ gladly washes our sins away when we repent and confess our sins.

2 John 1:9

⁹ Anyone who does not remain in Christ’s teaching but goes beyond it does not have God. The one who remains in that teaching, this one has both the Father and the Son.

Apostle John uses the strongest language possible to warn these Christians not to turn away and forfeit their salvation. Those who leave the gospel of Jesus will switch from being saved to being condemned.

The above declaration is for the entire mankind. No one is exempt from this. If anyone does not love Lord Jesus Christ, he or she will face the ultimate judgment.
