1 Peter 4:2

² that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

As we continue to study about the will of God the Father, we see that the people who live to do the will of God are very few. To live for the will of God is to live for the truth. This world is filled with many pastors and preachers who preach the Word of God everyday. But when it comes to the question of how many are living for the will of God, the answer would be very few of them. Anyone can preach the Gospel but those who preach the Gospel also have to learn to stand for the truth. The Truth separates a Christian believer from the world. It sets us apart from the rest of people living in the society.

Many preachers lead a compromising lifestyle. They do not want to address today’s problems of sin. Instead they pretend as if they are blind to today’s culture. That means these men and women are compromised with the world system more than the will of God. They have become people pleasers than fulfilling the will of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The preachers who preach are living for the fleshly lusts of men.

When we self-examine ourselves we too once were craving for the lusts of this world. We have rejected the truth that was set before us that is the Word of God. But because of the love of the Father and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and through the fellowship of the Holy Spirit we were set free from the prison of bondage and the slavery of sin. The Bible declares that God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

2 Timothy 1:7

⁷ For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Therefore we can boldly declare the truth of God. As Christians we are not to compromise with the world. In fact a time is coming that the things of this world will be judged by our Lord Jesus Christ. Everything that is shakable will be shaken by God. Meaning, those who do not walk according to the will of the Father will be shaken and they will have no place to hide. Such will be the state of all those who have rejected Jesus Christ in the past, present and in the future.
