Philippians 1:9

⁹ And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment,

Yesterday, we read that God breathed into Adam’s nostrils the breath of life. Every born again Christian believer receives the life of God also called as the breath of life. This life of God allows us to discern using the wisdom of God. Unless and until a person is born again, he or she cannot become obedient to the Word of God. Every person born into this world does not have any ability to understand the laws of God. Any person who cannot understand the laws of God therefore is separated from God. A person living a separated life from God is an enemy of God. Hence the wrath of God is on that person continuously. Any person who receives the life of God has only one nature in him. Although there’s another nature lurking in us, this nature is not activated until we allow ourselves to listen to the convincing words of Satan.

You see, Satan can try to convince you but it cannot convict you. Only the Holy Spirit can convict you. From the beginning Satan has been a liar. He only deceives unsuspecting people. Now let me take you back to the story of Eve. We read in Genesis two and verse twenty four b that they became one flesh meaning Adam and Eve became one flesh. God created Eve using Adam’s rib. That is the reason Adam said this:

Genesis 2:23

²³ And Adam said:

“This is now bone of my bones
And flesh of my flesh;
She shall be called Woman,
Because she was taken out of Man.”

Eve was made out of Adam’s flesh. God took that flesh out of Adam and made Eve. So, technically Eve belonged to Adam. Just like our eyes, hands, legs and so on are attached to our body so is Eve attached to Adam. This is a great mystery that Jesus Christ talked about when He said that in the beginning God created male and female and for this reason the man leaves his parents and joined to his wife and the two shall become one. This is very hard to understand. That is the reason Jesus said what is joined by God let no man separate it.

When a born again believer man marries a born again woman, the third Person in their marriage is Lord Jesus Christ. Because only Christ can put that woman back into the man’s flesh to make it one flesh. That is the reason we hear many say that marriages are made in heaven. It is true. It is beyond our comprehension how God works according to His ways. That woman was taken out of man before this creation came into existence and at the appointed time God brought that woman into that man’s life and they became one flesh.

In the beginning God knew who Eve was going to be. He knew who Adam was going to be. Make no mistake God does not indulge in experiments. His wisdom is vast and it is beyond our understanding. The problem with humans is that we underestimate the power of God. Even though Eve was given the spiritual nature of God, she did not quite get that. Instead she was attracted to the voice of Satan speaking almost like God. That is the reason you don’t read in the scriptures that Eve was ever scared talking to the serpent.

John 3:16

¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

God loves every one of us. There are no exceptions. But do you love God? Our eternity depends upon whether we love God or not. If anyone does not love His Son Lord Jesus Christ, then he or she will not inherit the kingdom of God.
