God’s Word of the Day February 22 2024 Last Days

When Paul said that in the last days men not only deceive other men but the same applies to them. Those who deceive others are being deceived by other men. Take for example Jesus Christ said this in:

Thascius Caecilius Cyprianus was made bishop of Carthage in 248 AD, but died only ten years later. Throughout his writings, Cyprian asserts that the Rock is Peter, and the church rests upon him. He also claims that as the church is settled upon the bishops, they too have authority. This is where the Catholics picked the theory that Peter indeed was the rock that Jesus Christ was talking about in Matthew 16:18. This is totally an incorrect understanding of the Words of Jesus by Thascius. Peter means simply a stone.

The Bible is clear stating that in the book of Isaiah God is called the rock of ages.

We see that rock is mentioned once again in:

and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.

Once again by reading the above verse we can confidently conclude that Jesus Christ is our rock and NOT Peter. So, the Catholic Bishops deceived their followers right from the beginning of early Christianity. In order to understand the Word of God, we need the help of the Holy Spirit. This is the reason billions of people are lost because they lack the wisdom of God. As human beings we all can reach to different conclusions about a particular subject. But when we allow the Holy Spirit to open our hearts understanding then we all will be on the same page.

This is just one example from the scriptures that the Catholics have erred a big time. Think about this, Rock is a title of God. It is a metaphor of His strength and stability and sustainability. Perhaps Thascius drank a Kool-Aid on that day and came to a conclusion that Peter is the rock. Peter and all born again Christian believers are a part of the Church also called the bride of Christ. It is not the Catholics.

As Paul said that in the last days terrible times will come. No one can escape them. Countless number of people will forfeit their lives for eternity by banking on false hopes and promises made by men.

Lord Jesus Christ is the Rock. We have to learn to build our hope and faith in Him and Him alone can save us. Peter lived and died just like anyone else. Peter wouldn’t know a thing or clap from heaven if a church is built using his name.

God loves every one of us. There are no exceptions. But do you love God? Our eternity depends upon whether we love God or not. If anyone does not love His Son Lord Jesus Christ, then he or she will not inherit the kingdom of God.

In Jesus precious name! Amen.

Maranatha!
