The Day of the LORD
What we have learned so far is that there will be a tribulation period and during this time the antichrist will pursue many unsuspected people to follow him on the pretext that he alone can bring peace in the world and that he is the only man who is the peacemaker to all nations.
Also, before the commencement of the tribulation, another historic event will take place. This event is exclusive to the Christian believers who are looking for the blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Titus 2:13
13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,
Please note that in the above verse, Lord Jesus Christ is also our great God and Savior. There is a misconception among many people that Jesus is not God. They are mistaken. Lord Jesus Christ is indeed the great God and Savior of every born again believer.
Those who look for the appearance of our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ only will be taken away by the Lord Himself. In the gospel of Matthew Jesus quotes a parable about the wise and the foolish virgins.
Matthew 25:1-13
25 “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
6 “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ 7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
11 “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ 12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’
13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
From the above parable both the wise and foolish were the virgins preparing for the bridegroom’s visit. One group was careless and the other group was fully prepared. On that day of the pre-tribulation rapture many Church pastors, and members will be caught off-guard. Whatever happened to the foolish virgins in the parable will be exactly the case with the unprepared Christians. One of the main reason to not believe in the pre-trib rapture is due to the pastor’s inability to believe in the Words of Lord Jesus Christ.
This is mainly because many pastors graduate from different theological seminaries having different viewpoints. Many seminaries do not emphasize about the blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. Ninety percent of the preachers never disclose what their viewpoints are with respect to pre-trib, mid-trib, post- trib or amillennial to their congregations.
Many Christians do not believe in this parable or they completely ignore this parable thinking that it does not apply to them. As a matter of fact many Christian denominations totally bypass our Lord’s sayings. Because of their disbelief they will go through the tribulation.
Friends there is no escape from the wrath of God that is coming upon this whole world. Even now there is no exception for any person to ignore His Son Lord Jesus Christ for any reason or purpose.
May all the power and may all the glory belong to our God through His Son Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
John 14:6
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
May the grace of Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
What a mighty God is our Lord Jesus Christ! Praise Him!
In Jesus precious name! Amen.
Maranatha!
