The Day of the LORD
Many commentators having many viewpoints have expressed the parable of the wise and the foolish virgins in different ways. I read one commentator mention that the five wise virgins will be taken in the rapture and five foolish virgins will go through the tribulation as they are considered to be non-believers. I tend to disagree on that commentary. When we read this parable, Jesus said that all the ten women were virgins and all the ten were looking to meet the bridegroom. Why would an unbeliever be looking to meet with the bridegroom? In this case the bridegroom is the Lord Jesus Christ. The only mistake that the foolish virgins did was that they were not anxious to meet the bridegroom.
The saved people who are left behind after the pre-tribulation, God is going to save them. In fact the scripture says this in:
Revelation 7:9
9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands
This multitude includes the saved before the tribulation and saved during the tribulation. How do we know that these people are saved during the tribulation time? For this we go to:
Revelation 7:14b
14 ……. So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation,
Those who withstand the Antichrist torture are the ones touched by the Gospel of Lord Jesus Christ during that time.
Here is the bottom line friends, the Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is coming for His Church before the tribulation. He is the bridegroom coming for His bride the Church. After the tribulation, the Day of the Lord will be the ultimate climax of the history of creation.
May all the power and may all the glory belong to our God through His Son Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
John 14:6
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
May the grace of Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
What a mighty God is our Lord Jesus Christ! Praise Him!
In Jesus precious name! Amen.
Maranatha!
