The Day of the LORD
What happens on the Day of the Lord? The Lord Jesus Christ descends from the heaven to the earth.
Zechariah 14:4a
4 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,
As per the scriptures, on that day the Lord’s feet will stand on the Mount of Olives. You see every Word that is mentioned in the scripture has a time and a place that will be fulfilled or in other Words of God will come to pass. No Word of God goes unnoticed or wasted.
Acts 1:11
11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”
The Bible does not tell us how many people witnessed Christ’s ascension. But it does say how many people will see the Lord Jesus Christ on the Day of the Lord.
Revelation 1.7
7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him.
Every eye will see Him including the ones who pierced Him. This means that the entire world will see our Lord coming down from heaven.
Now let us briefly look at the Mount of Olives. The night before the Lord’s crucifixion, immediately after the last supper, Lord Jesus Christ took His disciples to the Mount of Olives to a place called the Garden of Gethsemane and there He spent time praying to His Father. From the Mount of Olives, looking towards the west is the temple mount and in between is the Kidron valley.
May all the power and may all the glory belong to our God through His Son Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
John 14:6
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
May the grace of Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
What a mighty God is our Lord Jesus Christ! Praise Him!
In Jesus precious name! Amen.
Maranatha!
