Psalm 91:1

1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

A believer must dwell in the secret place of God. Where is this place you might wonder! The secret place is also called the shelter of God.

The shelter is Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Jesus said this in:

Matthew 23:37

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!

Lord Jesus Christ is our shelter. In Him we find our rest. He is the only One who can shield us and protect us from our enemies. When we take refuge in Christ, no harm shall fall upon us. Just as the hen gathers its chicks under her wings, Lord God Almighty will protect His children through His Son Jesus Christ.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

What a mighty God is our Lord Jesus Christ! Praise Him!
