God’s Word of the Day September 24 2024 Perseverance

And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;

The Biblical foundation for perseverance is a firm belief in God’s faithfulness and His promises. All the promises of God are yes in Jesus Christ. The Bible clearly states in the Book of James:

James 1:17

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights,

Even the perseverance a believer inherits is a gift from God through Christ. God is the One who provides His children with every blessing under the sun.

Lord Jesus Christ endured tribulations during His three and half years ministry on the Earth. Through the tribulations He persevered. To persevere means to ‘hold firmly and steadily to some purpose, state, or undertaking despite obstacles or setbacks.’ In spite of the difficulties our Lord rejoiced in His Father giving glory to Him. The Bible says in Hebrews this:

Hebrews 12:2

for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross,

Jesus completed the work that was assigned to Him by His Father.

What about us? Are we complaining to God about our daily lives or are we rejoicing in God through Jesus Christ? When we face trials are we running away from them or are we boldly facing them?

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

What a mighty God is our Lord Jesus Christ! Praise Him!

In Jesus precious name! Amen.

Maranatha!
