John 4:12a
12 Are You greater than our father Jacob,
The Word of God is marvelous. It is tasteful for the one who choses to meditate upon it. Meditating on the Word of God is not easy. It is a hard and difficult process. In order to meditate on God’s word one has to abandon everything that bothers them. An unwavering mind is crucial to reading and meditating on the Word of God. One needs to set a time apart only for the purpose exclusive to the scriptures.
The person has to be fully conscious and be aware that he or she is in the presence of God. Where God is, there is the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. They never leave each other and always work together as the Holy Trinity, for they are One.
Today we will focus on a partial verse mentioned in John chapter four and verse twelve.
‘Are You greater?’ The woman at the well who was a Samaritan posed this question to our Lord Jesus Christ. The reason she asked this question was because she saw a Man at the well asking for a drink of water. Many times we believe in what we see literally with our eyes. In her case she knew that the well was built by Jacob’s servants. And the tradition was continuing since then. One fact here is that Christianity is the quite opposite of seen things. It is the unseen Spirit of God that draws man to put his trust in Jesus Christ.
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
What a mighty God is our Lord Jesus Christ! Praise Him!
In Jesus precious name! Amen.
Maranatha!
