LORD JESUS CHRIST

Who is LORD JESUS CHRIST? The world does not know Him. The world does not want to know Him. As it is written in the Scriptures, He is the Alpha and He is the Omega.

Revelation 1:8

⁸ “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

The English alphabet is based on the Greek alphabet, which is also the basis for the Latin alphabet. The first letter of the Greek alphabet, alpha, which comes from the Phoenician letter aleph. The Latin letter A and the Cyrillic letter А come from alpha. 

The New Testament Bible was originally written in the Greek language. The Greek alphabet was developed around 1000 BCE, making it over 3,000 years old. It is the earliest known alphabetic script to have distinct letters for both consonants and vowels. Omega is the 24th, and last, Greek letter. Put another way, it means “the final part; the end.” In Revelation, Jesus is using both of these words Alpha and Omega literally, as names for Himself.

This vast Universe begins with Lord Jesus Christ and ends with Lord Jesus Christ. And everything in between belongs to Him and Him alone. When we examine the history of this world that was created by God, we see that men began to walk away from their Creator. Anytime we leave the homeland and go to a new land, we tend to become strangers of that new land.

God created the Garden of Eden and put man in that garden but due to the sin that man committed against God, man was banished from the Garden. Therefore man was expelled from the presence of the God Almighty. Whenever a man walks away from God’s presence, they have no fellowship with their Creator. They will receive no guidance from God. They will have no protection from God. It is like lost in the wilderness with no one to guide them.

For this reason the world we live in is considered as lost. Because they have not known the ways of God. For centuries man has rejected the One and the only true God. For over two thousand years man has rebelled against Lord Jesus Christ. The way man has rebelled was by establishing man made religions. Even atheism is considered as a type of religion.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
