LORD JESUS CHRIST

What does SIN do to an individual? Sin separates the man from knowing the will of God. Sin builds a barrier between God and man. For this reason man is blind to the things related to God.

Sin is the most deadliest and the most dangerous form that is embedded within the human nature. Every baby born into this world is born in sin. Sin is more deadly than the most aggressive cancer. The world we live in today has brushed sin as the least significant matter of life. Everyday we see people cheering up for murderers, serial killers, doctors aborting millions of babies year after year and all of the abominable things that demoralize the society.

These type of things have become a part of their daily life for some people. What was once considered as a wrong doing has become right now. There’s an exhaustive list of things that have gone from good to bad and from bad to worse. You know why? Because sin has blinded the mankind. Sin is contagious. It is a condition that cannot be separated from one’s life using earthly techniques.

God isolated man from knowing Him, and about Him after Adam disobeyed God’s orders in the Garden of Eden. Man either has to depend on another man for knowledge or come up with his own way of finding it. When we read from the Book of Genesis:

Genesis 1:26

²⁶ Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;

The phrase “let us make man in our image” suggests that Adam was formed to resemble God in some way. But when Adam committed the sin, this image of God was shattered. The image here means that some qualities of God were embedded in man. But after the fall of man, man lost the ability to think and reason like God. He lost the way to love like God loved. Man lost to show mercy to one another. He failed to become a peacemaker.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
